Thanks for your comments.  I think the carrot if you don&#039;t mind, is the job and following best practice when putting yourself forward. All too many times I find people who unknowingly sabotage their efforts but some of what I pointed out in the article.  I think we tend to get caught up in our efforts to be assertive, only to find out that we are actually working against ourselves.  I think we can all be a little more aware of how we come across especially if our goal is to make someone else offer us a job.  Thanks for reading!  Lisa</description>

		<description>So the worst economy since the Great Depression, record unemployment in many states, whole job markets decimated - and somehow you blame the job seeker, we&#039;re a bunch of whiners? I understand where you&#039;re coming from and realize you&#039;re trying to give constructive criticism. However, beating up on discouraged job seekers, who are facing real unprecedented financial and personal devastation hardly seems called for. I&#039;m all for reality checks, but this article is all stick and no carrot.</description>
